Colin Schumer is an aspiring writer, editor, journalist, and musician from the Missouri Bootheel. He is a recent graduate of the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism – Strategic Communication. In 2022 and 2023, he received the Paul Synor Creative Advertising Scholarship for work submitted by his professors.

He is an editor of Parenting with Love: Tips for Raising Children with Disabilities, (FREEAIR Books 2023). Order it here! Schumer’s other authorships include researched blog posts for Grade A Plus Inc., experiential articles for Vox Magazine, and social media posts for International Tap House – Columbia.

Schumer specializes in print and digital with publications that are seeking to flesh out and refine their unique voice while also enjoining writing that is thoroughly researched, experienced, and idiosyncratic.

In addition to his freelance work, Schumer potters around the music scene of Columbia, Missouri with production credits on LAIKA’s upcoming album and their previous album White Cicada.

He produces, mixes, and writes his own music under the name WednsdayLvrs, with his debut EP At A No Good Daycare released in 2024. Currently, Schumer is writing and mixing music for his debut LP to be released later in 2025. He is building a live show to tour his EP around the local area in March of the same year.
